DueTask for Chrome privacy policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
DueTask for Chrome is a to-do list in Chrome's side panel. This page explains what it stores and where data goes. The short version: your tasks stay in your browser, and nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
What DueTask stores on your computer
- Your tasks: titles, notes, dates, times, repeats, and whether they are done.
- Pages you choose to save: when you save a page, link or selected text as a task, DueTask keeps that page's title and address and the text you selected, so you can reopen it later.
- Settings, such as whether to close tabs you save for later.
All of this is stored with Chrome's local storage on your device. DueTask has no account and no server, so we never receive it.
What DueTask sends over the internet
Nothing. DueTask does not use analytics, tracking, advertising or any third-party service, and it does not sell or share data with anyone.
Page access
DueTask only reads a web page when you ask it to, by pressing its "save page" shortcut or choosing a DueTask item in the right-click menu. It then reads that page's title and address, and any text you selected, to create the task. It does nothing on pages you do not save.
Your control
Edit or delete any task at any time. In Settings you can export all your tasks to a file or empty the Logbook. Removing the extension from Chrome deletes everything DueTask stored.
